Q:  Whom do I contact to see if there are updates available?

A:  You can check www.MazdaNavigation.com for the latest map update information, or contact Mazda Customer Service at 1-800-222-5500.

 

Q:  How often should I update my map update DVD or SD card?

A:  Once a year.  Map information is constantly being updated as well as Points of Interests (POI) such as businesses, ATMs, hotels, etc.

 

Q:  How do I know if my area has been updated?

A:  You can verify if the area has been included in the latest map update by clicking on the "Map Coverage" link in the website.

Q: How often are the DVD and SD Card map updates released?
A:

The new DVDs are generally available in the Spring of each year.  The new TG18 version is now available to order.  Check the FAQ below for more details about the DVD application for your vehicle.

The new SD Card are now available to order.

Q: I am taking my vehicle to a foreign country. Can I purchase a map update that will work in that country?
A:

DVD or SD card map updates for other countries are not available through the DENSO Website.

The current North American map update covers the United States and Canada.  Map updates released after January 2010 will cover Alaska, Hawaii as well as other US territories (Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Q: How often should I update my map DVD or SD card?
A:

Highways, roads, streets and business information is constantly changing.  Therefore, we recommend updating your maps on an annual basis.

Q: What version map update is currently available for purchase?
A:

Version 2013 DVD map update (TG18 66 DZ0 C) is available now to order for the following vehicles:

2008-2010 Mazda 5

2009-2013 Mazda 6

2009-2011 RX-8

2009-2012 CX-9

Version 2011 DVD map update (GP9A 66 DZ0 H) is available to order for the following vehicles:

2007-2009 CX-7

2006-2009 Mazda 3

2006-2008 CX-9

2006-2007 Mazda 5

2006-2008 Mazda 6

2006-2008 RX-8

Version 2013 SD card map update (BBM7 66 EZ1 F) is now available to order for the following vehicles:

2010 - 2012 Mazda 3

2010 - 2012 CX-7

Q: How do I find out what Map Version I currently have?
A:

Perform the following four steps, on your Navigation System from your Mazda vehicle:

DVD INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Press the 'MENU' panel button
  2. Select “Navigation Setup”
  3. Select “Calibration”
  4. Select “ Map Version”

SD CARD INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Slide the notch of the inner lid sideways with your finger to open the panel
  2. Press the SD Card to partially eject the card
  3. Carefully pull out the SD Card
  4. Confirm the North American Version printed on the SD Card

Q: There is missing information (streets, address, POI’s, etc) on my disc. How do I report this information?
A:

Visit the CUSTOMER SUPPORT link on the DENSO/Mazda Navigation map update website (www.MazdaNavigation.com).  Go to “MAP DISCREPANCIES – Report a map error or missing information” section.  This information will be investigated and possibly fixed for the next update.

Q: How can I receive status or tracking information for my order?
A: Click on ORDER INQUIRY and enter your order number and zip code and the system will provide status and tracking information.  If the information you are looking for is not covered on the ORDER INQUIRY page, please contact Customer Support for further information.

Q: Where can I purchase the most current map update?
A:

The DVD or SD card can be ordered from www.MazdaNavigation.com or your local Mazda dealership.

Q: Can my DVD or SD Card map update be shipped to a PO Box?
A:

Only active military personnel that require delivery to an APO/FPO Military PO Box will be allowed.  We are unable to ship to non-military PO boxes.

Q: Will the new map update cover areas that are being built?
A: The map data is updated on an annual basis but it is possible that newly developed areas may not be included in latest map version.

Q: How do I determine the model year of my vehicle?
A:

Please contact Mazda Customer Service at 1-800-222-5500 or your local Mazda dealership. Please note that the vehicle model year could be different than the year your vehicle was purchased. To determine the model year of your vehicle, refer to the 10th digit of the 17 digit vehicle identification number (VIN). Example, if the VIN is xxxxxxxxx7xxxxxxx, then the model year of the vehicle is a 2007. The VIN can either be located on the door jam or dashboard on the driver’s side.

Q: What information will appear on my credit card statement for this purchase?
A:

A charge will show for approximately $199 + tax under the name "DENSO Products and Services Americas, Inc., Long Beach, CA, 90810," including a DENSO contact number beginning with area code (310).  Please direct billing inquiries to Mazda Customer Service Center at toll-free 1-800-222-5500.

Q: What do I do if I want to return my DVD or SD Card?
A:

If you received a damaged map, request a replacement through Mazda Customer Service.  No other returns or exchanges will be accepted.  If you have further questions please contact Mazda Customer Service at 1-800-222-5500.

Q: Can my map update be shipped to Canada or anywhere outside the U.S.?
A:

The map update can only be shipped within the contiguous U.S.  If you would like to purchase a DVD or SD card in Canada, please contact Mazda Canada at (905) 787-7000 for ordering instructions, or Mazda Customer Service at 1-800-222-5500.

Q: How much is shipping?
A:

All map updates are shipped with UPS free of charge within the United States.
